Terms of Service — Lost & Found

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Lost & Found application ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service. We may update these terms from time to time, and continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of any changes.

2. User Accounts

You must create an account to access most features. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration. You must be at least 13 years old to use this Service.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Post false or misleading reports of lost or found items
Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity
Use the Service to facilitate theft, fraud, or any illegal activity
Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
Scrape, collect, or harvest user data without permission

4. Content & Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of content you post. By posting, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your content for the purpose of operating the Service. We may remove any content that violates these terms.

5. QR Code Tags

QR code tags generated by the Service are for personal, non-commercial use. You may not duplicate, resell, or misuse generated tags. Tags remain associated with your account and can be deactivated at any time.

6. Rewards & Payments

Any monetary rewards offered are agreements between users. Lost & Found is not a party to such transactions and assumes no liability for disputes. Platform points are non-transferable and have no cash value. Donation transactions are non-refundable.

7. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the recovery of any lost item. We are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.

8. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our discretion for violations of these terms. You may delete your account at any time through the app settings. Upon termination, your data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
